On July 25th, 2009 Dave and I organized a potluck dinner with both our families to celebrate our engagement. The timing worked out perfectly as it was exactly one day less than one year away from our wedding date next summer! The evening was filled with great food and company! For the appetizer, Scott and Emily made a salad and served wine. For the main course, Karen brought her delicious Rigattoni and Macaroni & Cheese and my parents (&Nicole) brought my mom's famous Chicken Parmesan. For desert, I made a Chocolate Cake with a lot of icing!!

Overall, it was a delicious meal and everyone had a great time!

Quickie update today... July 24th, 2009.

Next year at this time, Nathalie will be getting her hair done and I will probably be trying to steal a couple winks of sleep before our big day.

Exciting!

As for at this time... Big family dinner tomorrow night!

OK... We have quite a bit of time, just over 13 months to put this day together, which should be plenty.

For now, we are excited to have an official wedding date and Nathalie and I are now looking forward to putting this whole event together.

I just got this blog up and running, Nathalie and I are super stoked about getting this running blog about our upcoming wedding so we can share with everyone the exciting journey.
